Army Public School, Roorkee, falls under the Central Command, with its Patron being the General Officer Commanding (GOC), UB Area, and the Chairman serving as the Station Commander, Roorkee. The school’s day-to-day operations are managed by the Managing Committee, which includes representatives from various Army units, teachers, parents, and educationists. The school became a Secondary School in 1990 and upgraded to a Senior Secondary School in the 1992-93 academic session, initially offering the Science stream. The Commerce stream was introduced in the academic year 1994-95, followed by the Humanities stream starting in the 2000-2001 session.
