About VSSUT Sambalpur
Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Sambalpur was founded in August 1956 by the Odisha Government. The University is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Sambalpur was formerly known as University College of Engineering which was placed under the Sambalpur University in 1967 and under BPUT in 2002. Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology courses are offered to UG, PG, M.Phil and doctoral programmes. VSSUT admissions to B.Tech and B.Arch courses on the basis of JEE Main or OJEE scores while M.Tech admissions are finalised on the basis of GATE scores. For M.Sc , M.Phil and PhD courses, VSSUT conducts its own entrance examination. According to the NIRF 2025, A total of 32 students from 2-year postgraduate programme got placement with a median salary package of Rs 6 lakhs per annum.
