About NIT Meghalaya
National Institute of Technology Meghalaya (NIT Meghalaya) was established in 2008. NIT Meghalaya is one among the 31 NITs in India established under the NIT Act 2007 (Amended 2012) of the Parliament of India as Institutes of National Importance. NIT Meghalaya offers various courses in the field of engineering and technology at UG, PG, and doctoral levels. National Institute of Technology Meghalaya offers courses in full-time mode only. NIT Meghalaya offers courses in 9 departments including Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical & Biological Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Humanities & Social Science, Mathematics, and Physics. Admission to B.Tech is based on candidates' JEE Main scores and joint seat allocations made by JoSSA/CSAB. Admission to NIT Meghalaya M.Tech programmes is based on a valid GATE score, followed by CCMT counselling. To be admitted to M.Sc courses in NIT Meghalaya, candidates must have a valid JAM score and participate in centralised CCMN counselling.
