About Jigyasa University
The University was founded by the TALEEM Research Foundation, Ahmedabad, and established through Act No. 17 of 2003 passed by the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission UGC under Section 2 f. The institution was later renamed as Jigyasa University under the Uttarakhand Private University Amendment Act 2024 Act No. 5 of 2024. Jigyasa University, formerly Himgiri Zee University, is known for addressing the growing need for skilled professionals across social, educational, scientific, technical, and professional fields, with a strong focus on channeling human potential toward sustainable economic and social development. 1228
