About Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University was established in 1999 under an Act of the JK State Legislature as the first fully residential technical university in the region. Recognized by UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B), it receives funding from the commission. The university has achieved notable rankings in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2024), placing 31st among Architecture institutions, 151‑200 among Engineering institutions, and 51‑100 among top universities in India.
