About VIIT Visakhapatnam
Vignan's Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) Visakhapatnam was established in the year 2002 and is a private co-educational institution. The campus is spread over seventeen acres of land. Vignan's Institute of Information Technology Visakhapatnam has been at the forefront of delivering quality education. VIIT Visakhapatnam provides courses exclusively available full-time, and their lengths range from two to four years. Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology Courses are B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. Vignan’s IIT offers admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes based on the student's performance in the national-level/state-level entrance examinations. Candidates must qualify in AP EAPCET /AP PGCET/ AP ICET respective exams. The institute is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUK), Kakinada and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The NIRF Engineering Report 2025 states that 1047 undergraduate and 64 graduate students have been placed. Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology Placement cell organises various training activities so that students are well-trained before the final placement drives. AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme, AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls, and Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child are the AICTE scholarships that students can avail. To apply for the AICTE scholarships, students need to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria. Vignan’s IIT clubs and committees help the students to get involved in some extra-curricular activities. Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology facilities include indoor and outdoor sports facilities and a gym for the students so that they can stay physically active and fit. Visakhapatnam facilities also include a library, a cafeteria to serve food, transportation for day scholars, internet, a guest room for visiting guests and many more.
