About Indian Institute Of Foreign Trade
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade was established in 1963 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to support skill development in India’s external trade sector. Since its inception, the institute has grown into a distinguished centre dedicated to research, training, and education in international business and trade. In 2002, IIFT was granted the status of a Deemed-to-be University. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded the institute a Grade A rating in both 2005 and 2015, reflecting its consistent commitment to academic excellence. Over the years, IIFT has evolved into a national-level university with a strong focus on International Business Management and Strategy. This specialized focus is evident in all key areas of its work, including research, training programs, and educational offerings. 1501
