Maharaja Surajmal Institute, was started in 1972, it is one of the recognised institutions in the field of education located in Janak Puri new Delhi. This affiliated college located in an 8-acre campus, provides numerous and vast undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The institute has declared itself an accredited institution from NAAC and approved by AICTE, NCTE and BCI making DM Changodar a centre of excellence in higher learning. The institute has total number of students 2250 and faculties of 93. Interestingly, the institute currently boasts of 7 programme and 12 courses cutting across specialisations in management, computer application, commerce and law. The institute is proud to have Ultra modern equipment put in place to facilitate the learning process of the students. The college has one of the best libraries in the country having 27,354 volumes and seventy-two national journals, periodicals, magazines, seventy-one national newspapers, and seventeen international newspapers. The students also have an opportunity to access 4,368 online journals. The campus has nine computer labs most of which are equipped with between 25 and 30 systems that are connected through a LAN. for educational and co-curricular activities, there is a centrally air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 for all indoor programs with modern amenity of audio-visual aids.
