About National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA)

The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), a Deemed-to-be University under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is a premier institution dedicated to capacity building and research in educational planning and management across India and South Asia. Its roots go back to 1962 when UNESCO established the Asian Regional Centre for Educational Planners and Administrators, later evolving through several transformations before becoming NIEPA in 1979. In recognition of its pioneering contributions, NIEPA was granted Deemed University status in 2006 and is fully funded by the Government of India. Today, it continues to lead in advancing educational policy, administration, and professional development.
