About Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University
Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University was established by the Government of Kerala on 1 November 2012 through the 2012 Ordinance and later formalized by the Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University Act, 2013. Created to advance Malayalam language and culture in a contemporary context, the University has had distinguished Vice Chancellors, with Dr. Sushama L currently serving in the role. As the only university offering education across disciplines entirely in Malayalam, it publishes books, journals, and translations, preserves ancient manuscripts, and promotes research in language technology. The University offers eleven postgraduate programmes, ten doctoral programmes, and various online short-term courses, aiming to develop skilled human resources and support Keralas growth as a modern, knowledge-driven society 1710
