About Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth

In the early 20th century, rising national consciousness led to several major efforts to reform education in British India, such as Gujarat Vidyapeeth by Mahatma Gandhi, Shantiniketan, Jamia Millia, and Gurukul Kangdi. Following the same vision, Rajasthan Vidyapeeth was established on 21 August 1937 by Manishi Pandit Janardan Rai Nagar, a noted Gandhian, educationist, reformer, and freedom fighter. Founded to uplift the downtrodden in Southern Rajasthan, the institution began with strong social and educational initiatives.
