About National Institute of Ayurveda

National Institute of Ayurveda, Deemed to be University (De novo), is an apex autonomous institution under the Ministry of AYUSH. It received Deemed University status in 2020 and was dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister on Ayurveda Day. As the first Central Government–funded Ayush institute to achieve this status, NIA carries a 175-year legacy and is recognized for excellence in Ayurvedic teaching, training, research, and patient care. NIA offers BAMS, MD/MS, PhD, Diploma, and six interdisciplinary MSc programs, along with various certificate courses. Its 260-bed NABH-accredited hospital provides quality OPD and IPD care with facilities such as a modern Panchakarma centre, advanced OTs, emergency care, a GMP-certified pharmacy, and a pathology lab. 1515
