About Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences
The Pravara Medical Trust, founded in 1972 in Loni, Ahmednagar (Maharashtra) by Padmashree Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil and Padmabhushan Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, began with a mission to improve rural healthcare. In 1976, the Trust established a 100-bed rural hospital to serve remote and tribal communities. Over the years, this modest facility expanded into a 1,275-bed multi-disciplinary, super-speciality medical institute equipped with modern technology. Today, the hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services and treats nearly one million patients every year, becoming a major centre for medical care, education, and community health development. 1460
