Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, was established under the Punjab Governments Desh Bhagat University Act. The university draws its inspiration from the vision and patriotism of freedom fighter Sr. Lal Singh Ji, whose relentless efforts for India’s independence and contribution to social welfare were honoured with the prestigious Tamra Patra by the Government of India in 1972.
