About Guru Ravidas Ayurved University

Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur, was established by the Government of Punjab to promote AYUSH education and research in the state and across India. The university began functioning on 1 February 2011 and aims to become a leading center for quality education and advanced research in AYUSH. It currently affiliates 16 Ayurvedic colleges, 4 Homeopathic colleges, and 1 Unani college. Plans are underway to develop a modern campus at Kharkan near Hoshiarpur, enhancing infrastructure and facilities for education and research in basic, clinical, and allied AYUSH disciplines. The university is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing traditional medicine and becoming a guiding light for AYUSH development in North India. 1625
