Shri Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva was born on 26 December 1964 in Delhi. He completed his schooling from DPS Mathura Road (1982), earned his B.Com (Hons.) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (1985), and obtained his LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi (1988). He enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi on 1 August 1988. Justice Sachdeva practiced before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, and Delhi District Courts. He became an Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court in 1995, securing second rank, and received the British Council Scholarship in 1992 to attend the Commonwealth Young Lawyers Course at the University of London. He served as Standing Counsel for the Bar Council of India for over two decades and as Senior Panel Counsel for the Union of India. Designated Senior Advocate in 2011, he was appointed an Additional Judge of the Delhi High Court in 2013, became a Permanent Judge in 2015, and was transferred to the Madhya Pradesh High Court in May 2024. He has been serving as Acting Chief Justice since 24 May 2025 under Article 223 of the Constitution. 1713
