About NIE South
The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore was established in 1946. �The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore's seven undergraduate programmes and three postgraduate programmes now have Tier-1 accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. NIE, Mysore is a private university affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi . For NIE Mysore admissions to UG courses, candidates must have passed class 12th with at least 50% marks from a recognised board also valid score in COMEDK UGET , and KCET conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority. NIE, Mysore PG admissions are offered to candidates who must hold a BE/BTech degree from a recognised board and also a valid score in GATE , and Karnataka PGCET . NIE Mysore courses are offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Admissions to PhD courses are offered to candidates who hold a Master�s degree from a recognised board. As per the NIRF 2025, the NIE Mysore placement cell has placed 790 undergraduate and 118 postgraduate students. The highest package offered during the NIE Mysore placements 2024 was Rs 42 LPA.
