About Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University

The University is sponsored by the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational SDME Society based in Ujire, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka. This premier non profit educational society functions under the guidance of Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala and the dynamic leadership of Poojya Shri D Veerendra Heggade, who also serves as the Chancellor of the University. Dr Niranjan Kumar, a renowned plastic surgeon, is the first Vice Chancellor of the institution. SDM University holds the distinction of being the first private university in the country to adopt digital assessments from the very beginning. Students write their examinations on e pads, which makes the process simpler and more convenient. Evaluators also benefit from the digital evaluation system that ensures zero error correction. Compared to traditional methods, this system enables faster announcement of results and a smoother examination experience for all stakeholders.
