About Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences
The Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) was established under Uttar Pradesh Act Number 35 of 2016. It is administered by the Ecumenical Minority Christian Society, known as the Sam Higginbottom Educational and Charitable Society, registered under the Society Registration Act of 1860. The university represents a united effort of the Christian community in India to promote rural development and upliftment in line with the Christian vision of humanity and creation. SHUATS is preserved as a shared ecumenical heritage by Christian churches and organizations across the country. It aims to serve as a national centre of professional excellence in education, involving students and faculty from all parts of India.
