The late Justice Tribeni Sahai Misra was born on 15 November 1922 into a well-known family in Mahona, Lucknow. As the eldest child with a strong scientific inclination from an early age, he completed his Intermediate education in Science and Mathematics from Government Jubilee College. He married Dr. Shakuntala Misra in 1940, in whose memory the Government of Uttar Pradesh later established a university for the specially abled, now known as The Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University.
