About Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute
The Tmt. Kannammal Educational Trust began its journey in 1985 with Thai Moogambigai Polytechnic College, followed by Dr. M.G.R. Engineering College in 1988 and Thai Moogambigai Dental College in 1991. In 2003, both institutions were granted Deemed University status as Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute by the UGC and MHRD. With a vision to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century, the university focuses on combining academic excellence with technical skills and confidence.
