About Tamilnadu National Law University
Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu through Act No. 9 of 2012 to provide high-quality legal education. The University, whose foundation stone was laid by former Chief Minister Dr. J. Jayalalithaa, began functioning in 2013–14. Located on a 25-acre campus near Tiruchirappalli, it is well connected by road, rail and air, and is close to district and subordinate courts, enabling strong interaction with the legal community. TNNLU aims to advance legal knowledge, promote research and develop socially responsible professionals. It offers B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) programmes, with admissions through CLAT, supported by extensive academic and residential infrastructure. 1729
