Hindusthan College of Arts and Science (HICAS) was started in 1998, an autonomous college for arts and science, situated in Coimbatore Tamil Nadu. This institution has been accredited at a very high standard by NAAC and holds an A++ grade, HICAS offers programmes in a wide scope. The college occupies a vast piece of land of 17.11 acres and is environmentally friendly with modern infrastructure. HICAS student population with a total number of 8,778 students, male and female students distribution is relatively equal at 65% males, 35% females. It has recognised a hundred and eleven specialisation areas across 88 courses from 15 degrees in arts, science, commerce and management streams. It is out ranked by NIRF 2024 in the college category as a 101-150 stand indicating higher ambitions on the aspect of quality education. Hindusthan College of Arts and Science boasts of possessing a collection of more and more equipment to make the study of the college outspoken. The campus comprises six academic blocks which boast the 182 comfortable, well-ventilated, adequately lit, and ICT enabled classrooms and fifty laboratories. The central library of the University existing with a Library Management System contain the books, journals, and other digital media in a huge manner. They enjoy first-class sporting amenities which include a 5.5 acre playground, 200-meter track for sports activities amongst others. The college also has different hostels for boys and girls to give out station students comfortable accommodation as they study. This is a university that provides education at the beginners�, masters� and doctoral level student basis. The institute offers 88 courses in full time, part time and online mode of all fields like arts , science, commerce and management .
