About Nehru Arts and Science College Coimbatore
Nehru Arts and Science College (NASC) was set up in 1998 and is an autonomous college in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Located in a large 35-acre campus NASC provides 50 diverse courses in its 11 different degree programmes. The college has a total population of 3,543 students, 55% male students and 45% female students. NASC is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council Reflection of Quality in Education. There are 144 members in the faculty, which makes the college retain a low student faculty ration, making a balance possible between tutoring and individual mentoring. These are other areas that NASC takes pride in its modern facilities that accomodate the learning facilities of the students. This college has twin modern hostel facilities for boys and girls separately, with a total student capacity of more than 5000, with A/C and non A/C facilities. A well stocked library is a part of the campus having more than three lac books in its collection procured from international /national journals /magazines. This means that NASC has an eclectic array of courses to offer for students in different fields of specialisation. The college offers 50 courses for it�s students, 46 of which are undergraduate, 3 being postgraduate, as well as M.Phil and PhD. programmes for research. It offers undergraduate degree that take three years to complete and post graduate courses that take about two years to complete.
